Martin Keown says player Man City let go in 2021 was actually better than Luis Suarez in the Premier League

Martin Keown has ranked a player Manchester City sold in 2021 above Luis Suarez for his performances in the Premier League. Suarez, known for his time at Liverpool, was a top striker in the league, scoring 31 goals and 17 assists in the 2013/2014 season. However, Keown placed a player City sold above Suarez, comparing his performance to that of Erling Haaland, who has been prolific in recent seasons.

Keown ranked Sergio Aguero above Suarez in terms of Premier League strikers, placing Suarez in the ‘B’ tier while placing Aguero in the ‘A’ tier. Aguero’s role in City’s title triumphs and his consistency as a top striker in England earned him the recognition of being better than Suarez in the eyes of Keown. Despite their different styles, both players are considered elite goalscorers in the Premier League.
