Etihad Stadium officials are closely monitoring Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise ahead of the summer transfer window, as Manchester City looks to refresh their squad and establish themselves as strong competitors in the UEFA Champions League. Manager Pep Guardiola and sporting director Txiki Begiristain will work together to identify areas of the team that need strengthening, with a focus on the wide roles and potentially moving Phil Foden to a more central position.

Manchester City, along with Manchester United and Arsenal, are showing interest in Olise, who has caught the eye of scouts despite injury setbacks this season. The 22-year-old winger, who has a release clause of £65 million in his contract set to be activated in the summer, has a history with Manchester City’s Academy system before moving to Reading to kickstart his senior career. Despite his injury woes, Olise has managed to make a significant impact in the Premier League with six goals and three assists in 13 appearances.

City is unlikely to see departures from the wing positions this summer, with Guardiola satisfied with Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish on the left. However, concerns over Bernardo Silva’s future could lead to restrictions on the right side, prompting potential interest in Olise as a suitable addition to the squad for the upcoming season.
