Manchester City has had a successful history in English football, winning 34 trophies since the club’s formation in 1880. Under the ownership of Sheikh Mansour and the Abu Dhabi Group, the team has entered a golden age, catching up with their rivals in terms of silverware. The majority of these trophies have been won since 2016, when Pep Guardiola became manager.
In the Premier League era, Manchester City has won the title seven times, with their first victory coming in 2012 under Roberto Mancini. They have continued to achieve success under managers like Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola, with their latest title secured in 2023. Despite their success, Manchester City still trails behind rivals like Manchester United and Liverpool in terms of the total number of trophies won.
The Cityzens have a total of 34 trophies, which is the same number as Chelsea. Manchester United and Liverpool have more trophies, with 67 and 69 respectively. Arsenal also have a significant number of trophies, with 49 in total. City, like Chelsea, have seen a surge in silverware over the past 20 years, with most of their successes coming in recent seasons.
