Manchester City are not planning a club-record bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, despite rumors of a £120m offer. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated that there is currently no concrete interest or deal in place for Musiala, with Bayern expected to begin contract talks soon to extend his deal which expires in 2026.

While top clubs are said to be interested in Musiala, no concrete talks have begun yet, with discussions depending on Bayern’s proposal. City, who are looking to strengthen their midfield, may not pursue Musiala and instead target West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta, who reportedly has a release clause in his contract that could be triggered in the next transfer window.

If Musiala does not sign a contract extension with Bayern soon, rumors about his future are likely to increase. With Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne’s futures uncertain, City are expected to bring in reinforcements in the midfield during the upcoming transfer window.
