Manchester City, along with five other clubs, are interested in signing 16-year-old River Plate attacking midfielder Franco Mastantuono. Real Madrid were rumored to be close to signing him, but other teams like Chelsea, Benfica, an Italian club, and Barcelona are also keeping an eye on him. Barcelona have reportedly made contact with Mastantuono’s representatives, but a move to Camp Nou may be unlikely due to the high cost of the transfer.

Despite only playing 10 senior games, Mastantuono has a €45m buyout clause in his contract, which has not stopped clubs like Manchester City from pursuing him. City already has a good relationship with River Plate, having signed two players from the club before.
