Manchester City striker Erling Haaland faced criticism for swapping shirts with Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz during half-time at their match. Despite this controversy, Manchester City managed to secure a 2-4 comeback victory at Selhurst Park, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring two goals to help the team secure the win and extend their unbeaten run to 25 matches in all competitions.
De Bruyne’s impressive performance, including a rocketing strike in the 11th minute and another goal in the second half, helped Manchester City overcome an early goal from Jean-Philippe Mateta. Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland also contributed goals to the team’s victory, with Haaland ending a goal drought by scoring his 19th Premier League goal of the season in the 66th minute.
The controversial shirt swap between Haaland and Munoz at half-time drew criticism from Crystal Palace fans, as the tradition is typically done at the end of matches. Despite the controversy, Haaland has seen much success since joining Manchester City, breaking records and winning individual awards during his debut campaign in England last season.
