Kyle Walker, a top right-back for Manchester City, has praised Jeremie Frimpong, a player they sold for just £350,000, as one of the best in his position now. Walker, who is considered one of the greatest right-backs ever in the Premier League, acknowledges the need for City to start thinking about long-term replacements as he is 33 years old. He then mentioned Frimpong, praising his skills and goal-scoring prowess. City may want to keep tabs on Frimpong as a potential long-term successor to Walker, considering his development and success since leaving the club for Celtic.
With Frimpong excelling as a wing-back under Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen, there is speculation that City could consider a move for him in the future. Despite signing a contract extension until 2028, Frimpong’s attacking quality and potential fit with Guardiola’s style of play make him a valuable prospect for the club.
