Manchester City has expressed serious interest in AC Milan’s up-and-coming talent, Francesco Camarda, as reported by Calciomercato.com. At just 16 years old, Camarda is now eligible to sign a professional contract, drawing the attention of the reigning Premier League champions.
Known for his impressive performance in youth football, Camarda has reportedly scored more than 500 goals, sparking interest from not only Manchester City but also Arsenal and Newcastle. These clubs are reportedly prepared to offer contracts that would see Camarda joining their first-team squad within the next two years.
Despite his young age, Camarda has already made a mark on the international stage, scoring for Italy’s Under 15s, Under 16s, and Under 17s. He even made his senior debut for AC Milan recently, appearing in matches against Fiorentina and Frosinone.
While City may have a chance of securing Camarda’s signature, the young player’s preference seems to be staying at Milan. Although initial contract discussions did not go smoothly, negotiations are ongoing with the intention of securing a long-term commitment from Camarda. A contract until 2027 is reportedly on the table.
City may still be in the running if talks with Milan hit a roadblock, but signs point to Camarda remaining with the Rossoneri for now. Fans will have to wait and see where this promising young talent decides to further his career.
