Pep Guardiola and Manchester City face a new fitness concern as they prepare to take on Premier League title rivals Liverpool at Anfield. The team has a busy week ahead, with matches against FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League and Liverpool in the Premier League.

Manchester City currently holds a 3-1 advantage heading into the second leg of the last-16 tie against FC Copenhagen. The Danish club will face a tough challenge against the reigning champions of Europe and a City side that is on a 19-game unbeaten streak.

However, City may have to make do without Jeremy Doku, who was absent from the active first-team squad during an open training session at the City Football Academy. Alongside Jack Grealish, Doku’s absence could force Guardiola to rethink his attacking options for the upcoming matches.

Despite the absences, Guardiola had a 23-man squad in training, with Josko Gvardiol making progress towards full fitness after recovering from an ankle ligament issue. The goalkeeping contingent included Ederson, Stefan Ortega Moreno, and Scott Carson, while a strong defensive lineup featured players like Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Ruben Dias.

In midfield, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, and Phil Foden trained alongside others, while attackers like Erling Haaland and Oscar Bobb also took part in training as usual.

Manchester City faces a crucial period with important matches on the horizon. The team will look to navigate these challenges and maintain their impressive form as they compete on multiple fronts in the pursuit of silverware.
