Recent reports indicate that Manchester City, the Premier League champions, were left feeling ‘disappointed’ by the scheduling of one of their major fixtures in April.

Pep Guardiola and his team will finish a busy March with a match against Arsenal, another top contender for the Premier League title, at the Etihad Stadium. However, April holds an equally challenging line-up.

With eight games in just 25 days, Manchester City will juggle their Premier League matches along with their quest to defend their FA Cup and UEFA Champions League titles.

The reigning Treble champions have tough fixtures lined up against Real Madrid in the Champions League and Chelsea in the Cup. However, the scheduling of these matches has caused frustration within the team.

According to information from ESPN’s Rob Dawson, Manchester City is ‘disappointed’ with the scheduling of their Emirates FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in April.

Initially, City believed the game would be on Sunday, allowing for four days of recovery after their Champions League clash with Real Madrid. However, the match has been scheduled for Saturday, giving Guardiola’s team just three days of rest.

ESPN has also revealed that the other semi-finalists, Manchester United and Coventry, were granted the Sunday slot despite not being in European competition, causing further frustration.

In addition to these competitions, City faces Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in April, teams that have previously caused trouble for Guardiola’s side.

Remaining fixtures include a home match against Luton Town, followed by away games against Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest. However, these matches could be rearranged depending on City’s Champions League semi-final outcome.
