John Stones from Manchester City has responded to questions regarding his recent injury while leaving Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.
The 29-year-old was taken off within the first 10 minutes of England’s friendly against Belgium due to an adductor issue.
This injury adds to a challenging season for Manchester City’s key player, coming at a crucial time when Pep Guardiola needs him the most after his important role in their Treble success last season.
Although formal assessments are pending, John Stones shared his initial thoughts on the injury while leaving the game on Tuesday night.
Leaving Wembley, Stones briefly mentioned the setback, stating, “I’m not sure yet,” as he walked without assistance or visible discomfort.
Manchester City is set to face Arsenal on Sunday, a match that could impact the Premier League title race significantly.
The competition for the title includes Liverpool, with City and Arsenal needing to avoid further setbacks in the remaining season.
City aims to secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title and defend their success in the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League for another season.
Upon his return to Manchester, John Stones, along with Kyle Walker, Manuel Akanji, and Matheus Nunes, is expected to undergo further assessments by the medical staff at the City Football Academy.
