Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is full of admiration for City boss Pep Guardiola, stating that every manager in the world aspires to be like the Catalan.

This praise for the Manchester City manager comes as the reigning Treble winners are aiming to repeat their success from last season, competing on multiple fronts as the season progresses.

In addition to the Premier League title race with Arsenal and Liverpool, Manchester City also has an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea in April and a UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.

Speaking to Portuguese outlet A Bola during the international break, Fernandes reiterated his belief that Guardiola is the best coach in the world. “We are talking about the best coach in the world, without a shadow of a doubt. In recent years, he has been the best coach in the world,” Fernandes said.

Fernandes added that every coach in the world wants to emulate Guardiola, including his own manager Erik ten Hag. “He is probably the coach who has had the biggest impact on the game of football. Nowadays, everyone wants to be Guardiola. All teams, from lower divisions to the top, strive to play like City and replicate their success,” Fernandes said.

The Manchester United captain expressed his delight at receiving praise from Guardiola, whom he regards as the best coach in the world.
