Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has expressed his desire to improve as a player.
After recovering from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined since December, the 23-year-old Norwegian made a recent return to action and shared what his plans are for his individual progression and what he wants to achieve moving forward.
During an interview in the official Man City Podcast, Haaland stated, “There’s loads of things to still improve. When you play so many games, it’s difficult to train because you have to get ready and do the stuff that gets you fit for the next game. I want to become even better with the team, to be more solid with the team and to perform in the biggest games. And I want to recreate the things we did last season.”
City signed Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £51 million during the 2022 summer transfer window. Since then, he has scored 71 goals in 76 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions.
His goal-scoring efforts have broken many records, with 52 goals in 53 games during the last season alone. This highlights Haaland’s winning mindset and his determination to continue improving and performing at the highest level.
With City currently pursuing Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, Haaland’s commitment to improving his overall game while scoring goals consistently will give his team a strong chance of achieving their goals and winning more silverware at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old’s focus on improvement is a clear indication of his ambition and dedication to success with Manchester City.
As one of the most promising talents in football, his desire to get even better as a player is a testament to his outstanding work ethic and commitment to excellence in the sport.
