Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has shared what he has learned from Manchester City during his time in charge of the Merseyside club.

Since he has been at Liverpool since 2015 and will be leaving his position at the end of the season, he has had the opportunity to witness City win five Premier League titles during his time in England.

As a result, Klopp has shared valuable insights about the Manchester club and how to compete against them for top titles.

Ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Arsenal, Klopp spoke to the media and emphasized the importance of winning all games when competing against City because of their consistent and incredible performance.

He said: “What we learned over the years, if you want to be around City then win all your games because they will. They play incredible stuff and would consider themselves not at their best season, we’ve played a great season and we’re only two ahead.”

Klopp’s comments highlight the high level of competition that Liverpool has experienced against City.

During his time as Liverpool’s manager, Klopp has won one Premier League, one Champions League, one FA Cup, and one Carabao Cup. In comparison, City has won 14 major titles since the appointment of their manager, Pep Guardiola, in 2016.

This significant gap between the number of trophies won by the two sides demonstrates the challenge of keeping up with City’s success.

In the current Premier League campaign, Liverpool sits five points ahead of City at the top of the table, although City has a game in hand.

Klopp would undoubtedly love to end his final Premier League campaign with a second title, and the pressure will be on City to stop them from achieving that goal and make history by becoming the first side to win four titles in a row.

Moving forward, City must ensure they pick up as many points as possible to compete with Liverpool, with the experience of battling the Reds for a title.

They hope to capitalize whenever Liverpool slips up to maintain their position in the table. As Klopp prepares to end his time at Liverpool, the rivalry between the two clubs remains intense, and the road to the Premier League title will undoubtedly be an exciting one.
