Kylian Mbappe, the French soccer star, is reportedly set to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer on a free transfer. His apparent decision has sparked rumors and speculation about where he will land next.
Real Madrid has been widely considered as his most likely destination. However, there are now bold claims that a representative of Mbappe met with officials from Manchester City, one day before the news of his departure from PSG emerged.
Cadena SER reported that one of Mbappe’s agents had an informal meeting with Manchester City officials the day before announcing his intention to depart from PSG.
This agent, one of three representing Mbappe, was spotted in Manchester and allegedly had conversations with several City officials, and was even seen by some City players.
The report also states that another representative, a childhood friend of Mbappe, attended Real Madrid’s Champions League match with RB Leipzig in the VIP area.
Despite these claims, the likelihood of Mbappe signing with Manchester City seems slim. Due to the presence of Erling Haaland, a fellow star striker whom Manchester City signed for a significant amount and who is considered to be a direct rival for the Ballon d’Or, it is improbable that Mbappe would join City.
Real Madrid has long been associated with the French player, and there is a consensus that it makes more sense for him to go there, as they are in need of a player to replace Karim Benzema.
In conclusion, the possibility of Kylian Mbappe signing with Manchester City appears to be remote considering his existing competition and Real Madrid’s need for a replacement player.
Despite rumors and claims of meetings with City officials, the likelihood of Mbappe choosing this club as his next destination is minimal. With the football world eagerly watching, it remains to be seen where this coveted French superstar will land next.
