Jorginho has revealed his choices for the top five Premier League players and it includes two Manchester City stars. Despite being a tough decision, the Italian midfielder named Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Mohamed Salah as top players, but when it came to Manchester City, only two made the cut. Jorginho’s choices were certainly surprising, as they did not include City’s stalwart Rodri, a notably snubbed player. Instead, he picked Bukayo Saka and Reece James as part of his top five.
Some might argue with his picks, especially with the omission of Rodri. De Bruyne and Haaland’s inclusion in the list is certainly understandable as they are considered two of the greatest players in football. Similarly, Salah continues to dazzle and score numerous goals for Liverpool. However, Saka’s inclusion in the top five might be seen as a bit generous, especially considering his youth and inexperience.
But what really raises eyebrows is the choice of James over Rodri. While James is a great player, his frequent injuries often sideline him, which might be considered a downside. On the other hand, Rodri is a crucial part of Manchester City’s success, having played a crucial role in their unbeaten streak.
Despite the different opinions, it remains evident that Jorginho’s picks are his own, and everyone is entitled to have their own perspectives on the Premier League’s top players. And while it’s clear that Jorginho has some controversial choices, it’s also worth considering that his perspective is based on first-hand experience as an elite-level competitor in the Premier League.
