Jack Grealish, when speaking to the Premier League, named Bernardo Silva as the funniest player at Manchester City.
Grealish mentioned that the team has the best dressing room and the best banter, with everyone engaging in friendly teasing.
He specifically pointed out Bernardo Silva, stating that he always makes him laugh with his cheeky sense of humor and the things he says.
Grealish expressed his admiration for Silva, referring to him as the best guy and stating that he loves him. Their camaraderie is evident not only on the pitch but also off the pitch.
Grealish said: “We have got the best dressing room, the best banter. Everyone just absolutely hammers each other. Probably Bernardo. He just makes me laugh. He’s so cheeky. Some of the stuff he comes out with, the best guy. I love him.”
Grealish and Silva have played 90 matches together for Manchester City and have had a high success rate with the team, losing just nine of those outings.
They help the Citizens maintain an average of 2.34 points per game. However, it is possible that this partnership might come to an end in the near future.
Silva has expressed his desire to return to Benfica one day, although he acknowledged that it might have to be a free transfer due to Benfica’s inability to meet Manchester City’s asking price. Manchester City values Silva over €50m (£43m), a fee that is unattainable for a Portuguese club. Therefore, Silva’s return to Benfica would likely have to be as a free transfer.
It is also noted that Silva has attempted to leave Manchester City on multiple occasions, but his high wages have posed a challenge for many clubs. With his contract expiring in 2026, it is uncertain whether Silva will remain at Manchester City for an extended period.
A potential exit at the end of the current season cannot be ruled out. This raises questions about the future of their partnership and the impact it may have on the team.
