Football pundit Janusz Michallik shared his belief that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is not concerned about Arsenal and Mikel Arteta in the Premier League title race but is wary of going head-to-head with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

At present, Manchester City is second in the Premier League table, having recuperated after a series of poor performances. However, Liverpool currently holds the top spot, leading City by five points with one game in hand.

The ongoing Premier League season has seen a tight race, with just five points separating the top four teams, making it an exciting tournament to watch.

Despite many still considering City as the favorites, Michallik emphasized that Liverpool is City’s primary threat, not Arsenal.

Guardiola is aiming to make history this season by winning the Premier League for the fourth consecutive time, a feat that no club has ever achieved before.

The top four currently comprises Liverpool, City, Arsenal, and Aston Villa, but doubts linger on whether Arsenal will sustain their position till the end of the season.

Michallik believes that Klopp’s experience makes Guardiola apprehensive about going head-to-head with the Liverpool manager in the final weeks of the season.

Michallik’s assertions are supported by John Terry, a former Chelsea defender, who expressed that City would be challenging for other clubs to overtake.

Liverpool’s consistent performance in the first half of the season has posed a significant threat to City’s title aspirations.

The team’s strong and consistent performance, especially in midfield and defense, has made them a force to reckon with.

Compared to Arsenal, Liverpool, having won a league title recently, are considered a more substantial threat by Michallik and many others. Consequently, Guardiola may not want to face Liverpool in the title race.

With the increasing possibility of Liverpool proving to be an obstacle, it is crucial for Manchester City to maintain a strong performance and hope that other clubs can impede Liverpool’s progress in the upcoming matches.
