Italian giants Juventus are eyeing a loan move for out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips during the upcoming January market, according to reports.
The 28-year-old midfielder has struggled for minutes again this season. It follows on from an injury-interrupted debut season at the European champions for Phillips.
Kalvin Phillips has managed to register just 215 minutes of on-field action under Pep Guardiola this season, spread across eight appearances in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and Carabao Cup.
A move appears on the cards in January for the England international as looks to solidify his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for next year’s European Championships.
If Kalvin Phillips does decide to leave Manchester City in January there is no shortage of suitors for his services.
Clubs like Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on the player and they have made enquiries regarding a potential move.
According to Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail, Juventus are among the clubs exploring the possibility of a deal for Phillips.
In addition to Juventus having an interest in the midfielder, Gaughan adds that they play with a five-man midfield which could suit Phillips.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
