Manchester City ended a run of four winless Premier League matches with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Luton Town on Sunday.
Champions Manchester City survived a scare to beat Luton Town 2-1 and are four points in arrears of Klopp’s side.
Despite a dominant first half, they were unable to find the net and went into the break 1-0 down when Elijah Adebayo headed in.
City kept chipping away at a resolute Hatters defence and Bernardo Silva levelled the score with a beautifully curled effort just past the hour mark. Jack Grealish resumed normal service three minutes later, finishing Julian Alvarez’s cross for the eventual winner.
The current champions, who are targeting their fourth league title in a row, currently sit four points behind leaders Liverpool, Arsenal and surprise package Aston Villa make up the rest of the Champions League places.
The title race is already looking like it could be the most exciting for some time and there could be a lot of jostling for positions – especially with the busy festive period approaching.
Many are anticipating one of the closest title races for years as just 10 points separate the top six.
City are going through a rough patch but will fancy picking up the pace going into the next Premier League fixtures.
