‘Get him’, ‘One for the future’ – Man City fans react as club keeping tabs on €35M La Liga Star

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side are eyeing Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez.

Girona currently leads La Liga by two points after a 2-4 away win over title rivals FC Barcelona earlier this week, moving them seven points clear of their opponents on the night as well as Atletico Madrid.

Miguel Gutierrez was one of the night’s standout performers, with a goal, 98% pass accuracy, three successful dribbles, and three ground duels won over the course of 90 minutes.

This outstanding performance has thrust the left-back into the limelight, making him a sought-after commodity as the January transfer window approaches.

Gutierrez’s talent was on full display as he scored a spectacular goal against Barcelona and has provided three crucial assists this season.

The talented defender’s future is now the subject of intense speculation, with top European clubs expressing interest and Real Madrid at the center of it all.

Real Madrid had previously sold Gutierrez to Girona for €5 million while keeping 50% of his rights. The agreement included a one-of-a-kind clause that allows Real to repurchase him for €8 million the following summer.

Gutierrez, who is currently under contract with Girona until 2027, has a €35 million release clause, mirroring Fran Garca’s situation last January.

According to journalist Javier Rodrguez Pascual, Manchester City are currently monitoring Girona left-back Miguel Gutiérrez’s performances and ongoing development.

Javier Rodrguez Pascual report further reveals that Bayern Munich is also interested in the player, as is Arsenal, and Real Madrid is not ruling out a return to the club – despite the focus being on Alphonso Davies for 2024.

Whether or not Manchester City firm up their early interest in the player remains to be seen, with left-back currently occupied by the likes of Nathan Ake and Josko Gvardiol for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.
