Erling Haaland had to push Cole Palmer, his former teammate at Manchester City, aside when he attempted to overhear a conversation with his old club on sunday.
Palmer faced his old team in one of the most exciting 4–4 draws in Premier League history.
Palmer ultimately had the last word as his stoppage-time penalty cost his former team the three points and damaged City’s hopes of winning the Premier League for a record fourth time in a row.
The 21-year-old forward put on a great show. Earlier, he came dangerously close to scoring a solo goal as he dribbled past several City players, but his shot lacked the flair to beat Ederson.
However, a video that surfaced shortly after his goal revealed Palmer’s more cunning side.
Palmer moved over to join the group of City players—Phil Foden, Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, and Jack Grealish—for a brief on-pitch team meeting.
However, Haaland noticed Palmer’s attempt and hurried over, shoving the Manchester-born celebrity out of the conversation.
But judging from the video, it seems that Haaland found the humorous side of things because he grinned while pushing.

It was the first time Palmer was playing his old club, who he left to the tune of £45million over the summer, and he admitted after the game: “Yeah, [It was] very strange.
“That’s the first time I’ve played against City since I left but I have the utmost respect for the club that I spent 15 years at. It was nice to see some friends – unlucky not to get the win but it was a great game.
