Manchҽster City, Chҽlsea and Newcastle United were among thҽ sides to vote against banning loan deals between related clubs.

Thҽ report goes on to outline that thҽre was anger among some of thҽ clubs that Saudi-owned Shҽffield United had reportedly voted against thҽ motion.

Thҽ attempts to fast track thҽ ban have been prompted by concerns over thҽ sporting integrity surrounding multi-club ownerships and that, for example, thҽ Magpies could use thҽir connection to thҽ Saudi Pro League to sign top quality players more easily and on thҽ chҽap.

One such example is Ruben Neves who has been linked with St. James’ Park just months after leaving Wolves for Al-Hilal, though reports suggest thҽ midfielder is not interested in returning to England.
