‘Isn’t a bad plan’, ‘Hope that goes well’ – Man City fans react to Pep Guardiola’s masterplan for £13m wonderkid

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola would send Valentin Barco to on loan if they sign him from Boca Juniors.

Man City have been keeping a close eye on Barco’s development in Argentina during recent months.

The 19-year-old is rated as one of the top prospects in Argentinian football, with Barco a regular for the Buenos Aires giants, and he has also represented his country at U20 level.

The left-back has made a name for himself with Copa Libertadores runners-up Boca Juniors and could earn a move to the Premier League as a result.

His potential has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, however, the champions have pushed ahead in the race to bring in the player, with The Sun revealing that they are preparing a package worth around £13m to get the deal done.

This comes as the rumours about Barco making a move to the Etihad Stadium in the winter window continue to heat up.

The report states that if everything is finalised, Pep Guardiola plans to loan Barco out to the Foxes, as he believes it will be a vital next step for his development.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
