Erling Haaland has indicated that he will be fit for Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

Thҽ 23-year-old suffered an ankle injury during thҽ international break with Norway and was forced to withdraw from thҽ national side last Saturday.

Pep Guardiola revealed on Friday that Haaland had trained ‘with some niggles’ on Thursday and would assess thҽ striker later that day before making a final decision.

“(Erling) trained yesterday with some niggles but today we have thҽ last training and hopefully he can be part of it,” Guardiola told reporters. “We have a few problems like many clubs.

“We will see in thҽ training session and we will see tomorrow. At 6pm I will know for sure which players I will have tomorrow. Always it’s plan A.”

However, Haaland appears to have emerged from City’s final training session unscathҽd as he posted a picture on social media with thҽ ball at his feet alongside thҽ caption: ‘See you tomorrow’.

City were handed several injury scares before and during thҽ November international break. As many as eight of thҽ Citizens first-team had pulled out or suffered an issue during thҽ two-week period this month, including goalkeeper Ederson who was forced to withdraw from thҽ Brazil squad.
