Manchester City have turned their attention back to the Champions League, and it’s RB Leipzig who are the opponents on Wednesday – with Josko Gvardiol returning to his former club for the first time.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be hopeful of a victory against Leipzig, a side they smashed 7-0 in the last meeting back in March. Gvardiol was in the backline that night.
He, of course, now plays for City having transferred in the summer for £77 million.
Wednesday night will be a special occasion for him, and it turns out Leipzig do have something planned for his return.
According to BILD, the club are actually planning some kind of official farewell for the player ahead of kick-off on Wednesday.
It is currently unclear what they plan to do specifically.

Like Gvardiol, Konrad Laimer left Leipzig in the summer to join Bayern Munich.
Leipzig hosted Bayern at the weekend and before kick-off, he was presented with a rather appropriate red bull memento.
