Manchester City are reportedly keeping a continued eye on the contractual situation of Eberechi Eze at Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who has been doing wonders of late, came through the ranks at Queens Park Rangers before joining the Eagles in the summer of 2020. The attacking midfielder has gone from strength to strength since joining the club.

He has featured in a total of 99 matches for Crystal Palace and has been involved in 29 goals. The 25-year-old has taken his game to another level in the past few seasons. He featured in 40 games last season and ended up contributing towards 14 goals.

The England international has carried his form into the 2023-24 season, he has made six appearances so far and has contributed with a goal and two assists. His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and quite a few big clubs are keen on having him in their ranks.

Eze’s current deal with the Eagles runs out in the summer of 2025. With less than two years left on his contract, Palace offered him a new deal that would have tied him to the club until the summer of 2027 but he has rejected the offer to renew.

The 25-year-old’s decision to not renew has fueled speculation about his future. Quite a few clubs have been keeping a close eye on him and they could push for his services in the near future.

According to the information of Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Manchester City remain keen on Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace and are continuing to monitor the situation of the Selhurst Park star.

Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the 25-year-old and he wants him at the club. The Spanish boss has been keeping a close eye on the England international for a while and he believes Eze could be a great fit for the club.

He has all the qualities to fit into their system and they are expected to push for his services in the winter transfer window. However, a deal midway through the seasons looks unlikely and they might have to wait until next summer.

Meanwhile, a few reports suggest that the treble winners might already have an agreement in place with the player over a move in the near future.
