Girona’s flying attacker Savinho has lauded the City Football Group as a project whilst backing himself to make the grade at Manchester City.
City Group have ownership of multiple clubs in different countries that help each other in developing players and providing them with a pathway to the top level.
Their La Liga side, Girona, have taken the league by storm with their flying start to the season, which has exceeded their expectations.
Savinho has been a revelation in La Liga this season, with the young Brazilian contributing with two goals and four assists for Girona.
The 19-year-old has already garnered interest from many clubs, with Real Madrid also considering the La Liga attacker ahead of future windows.
For the City Group, he may appear like a valuable asset for the future, and they may want to develop him into a future star for Manchester City.
While there’s also interest from Tottenham, Savinho wants to realise his dream and play for Manchester City one day.
In an interview with MARCA, the Brazilian sensation was quizzed about his future at the Etihad Stadium, as he is currently on loan at Girona.
Savinho lauded the City Football Group as a project whilst backing himself to make the grade at Manchester City.
“The City Group is a very good project. I was at PSV, now in Girona. At PSV I didn’t play as much, but I learned a lot. I have to thank PSV for opening the doors to me, because the things I learned there have helped me be well at Girona today”, he said.
“The City Group’s project is first class, and I think that if I do well, Manchester City will want me.”
While a move to Manchester City may happen in the future, there’s no immediate opportunity for the La Liga attacker to explore or get excited about.
