Erling Haaland has set another record by becoming the fastest Premier League player to reach 50 goals and assists, after scoring three against Fulham.
The Norwegian striker banged in a hat-trick and provided an assist at the Etihad as the Citizens made it four top-flight wins on the bounce.
As a result of his efforts, Haaland has became the fastest player in Premier League history to reach 50 goals contributions, doing so in just 39 appearances.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an electric first campaign in the top-flight, scoring 36 times and chipping in with eight assists.
With six goals and an assist to his name already this term, opposition players will be dreading the prospect of facing Haaland this season.
Julian Alvarez gave City the lead after 31 minutes against Fulham, before Tim Ream drew the game level just two minutes later.
Nathan Ake then scored a controversial header which should have been ruled out for offside on the stroke of half-time, before Haaland fired in a treble in the second half.
But despite the dominant nature of the win, the striker has declared that their slow start to matches is down to always being in finals come the end of the season.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, he said: “It started a bit sloppy, but we ended in a good way.
“Important win, we go into the international break having won four in four. Good start to the season.”
He added: “Every year is like this at this club.
“We start a bit late and a bit sloppy because we play right until the last game [of every season] because we are the best club.
“It is how it is. We will only get better and better from here.”
