Manchester City looks to have found a replacement for Riyad Mahrez with only a few days left in Europe’s summer transfer window.
City has been searching for an extra attacker to add to the squad after selling Mahrez to Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli last month.
City did have Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise on their radar but the Frenchman opted to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park after Chelsea made a concrete bid.
The Blues were also interested in West Ham playmaker Lucas Paqueta but that has seemingly cooled after it emerged that the Brazilian is under investigation for betting rules breaches by the FA.
City have instead settled on highly-rated prospect Doku, who fought back from an injury-hit year to play 35 times last season – scoring seven goals and creating four more.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are on the verge of signing Rennes winger Jeremy Doku.
The Citizens have verbally agreed to a deal worth €60 million package deal with the Ligue 1 outfit and are looking to strike an agreement this week despite competition from Premier League rivals.

Doku will become the third major signing of the summer for the Blues following the arrivals of Croatian pair Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol and takes the club’s spending to £160m in the window.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
