Jeremy Doku has told Rennes he wants to join Manchester City despite interest from West Ham, according to reports.
Pep Guardiola’s side are keen to bring in a replacement for Riyad Mahrez this summer following his departure to Al Ahli.
Just two signings have been made at City so far, with Croatian duo Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol being their only acquisitions.
Given how crucial Mahrez was to their success over recent seasons, there is no surprise they will want to find an ideal replacement.
Doku has been identified as a player who could fill the void on the right wing, and according to TalkSPORT, the Belgian telling Rennes he wants the transfer.
A really good deal for all parties as the deal could come this week. Doku is a true and true winger who could play both sides of the pitch and is the very profile that City are in search of.
Doku joined Rennes from Anderlecht three years ago and has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young wingers in Europe.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
