Kevin De Bruyne stepped up his injury recovery as he trained with his Manchester City teammates in Tokyo on Tuesday.
De Bruyne limped off in the Champions League final six weeks ago, having played with a hamstring injury for around two months during the run-in.
He was named on the bench in the first pre-season friendly win over Yokohama F Marinos, but had not trained with the team before that, instead working individually on an exercise bike before that game.
However, De Bruyne has given City a boost as he was part of the City squad training at the Japan National Stadium ahead of the pre-season friendly with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
And Man City fans are delighted with the boost. Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
@Karthik_KLSFC: “Our King Is Back 💙”
@kevindegoatt: “He’s back way faster than expected hopefully it doesn’t affect his long term career; but I trust our doctors though”
@LoorLas: “Can’t overstate how good this news is. Genuinely thought it’d be closer to Christmas before he was up to full speed.”
@Damrino8: “Just in time for Arsenal”
@mutungi_rodney: “Not good news for Arsenal!”
@kelvinfestus07: “Masterclass against arsenal coming soon”
@swiftesposito: “I already hear the trembling horror voices of Arsenal 😍”
@Camcoh: “We are winning against Arsenal for sure.”
