Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Liam Delap is close to sealing a season-long loan move to Hull City in the Championship.
The 20-year-old had two loan spells away from the Manchester club last season, spending the first half of the season with Stoke City, before joining Preston North End in the previous January transfer window.
Both loan spells in the second division last season didn’t particularly work out well for him and hadn’t put him in a position to become a regular player for Guardiola back at City.
Now though, the striker, who Pep Guardiola once described as being an “important” player for City in the future, looks set to be taking on another challenge in the Championship, this time with Hull.
Delap is reportedly close to sealing a loan move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer. In a recent Twitter post, journalist Mike McGrath said this on the matter.
He said: “Hull City are close to sealing a season-long loan for Manchester City striker Liam Delap.”
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
