Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Paris Saint-Germain are now set to launch a bid for Bernardo Silva to wrap up a transfer for him this summer.

The midfielder was previously rumored with a move away from the Etihad but he stayed in England and continues to have a brilliant campaign under Guardiola’s orders.

The Portuguese international has returned to his brilliant best during the business end of the season, especially in the Champions League, putting on displays for the ages against the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Branded as ‘smart’ due to his versatility by Kevin De Bruyne, there is no questioning that the 28-year-old is still one of City’s most integral players.

However, it has been claimed that not only are PSG ready to submit a bid in the hopes of completing a transfer for Bernardo Silva; but also, that a contract proposal has already been offered.

This comes from journalist Santi Aouna, as the £43.6 million (Guardian) man’s future remains up in the air.

With his deal at the Etihad Stadium set to run out in 2025, the Ligue 1 champions seem keen on his arrival for a relative bargain fee.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

@HenriDempsey: “Why would he go there?”

@MitPat_: “He’s not going there, it’s a mess over there”

@MaziAlika: “That would be a costly mistake for Bernardo Silver.”

@bluemoonfan247: “We should offer Benardo another contract. It’s bigger than any signing we could ever offer”

@mancity_talk: “Would hate to lose him but a new contract for Gundo would soften the blow. Can’t lose them both.”

@mikepriestley13: “I hope he stays but this last year or more been talk of him wanting to move. I’d be gutted but if rumours are true that he wants to go we can’t keep a player that doesn’t want to be here. Least it’s not a premier league club he’d be going too”

@CityLad95: “Tbh, would rather sell him for good money to PSG this season than lose him to Barca on a free next season. 1 year left on his contract if we can squeeze out £50-60m for him i would be ok with that..”
