Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays an update on the future of Bernardo Silva at the Etihad Stadium.
Bernardo Silva is believed to be open on taking up a new challenge six years on from joining the seven-time Premier League champions from AS Monaco for £43 million.
It has become a recurring theme for Manchester City to fight to keep hold of Silva, who has been heavily linked with a move elsewhere in the last two years amid interest from the likes of Barcelona and PSG.
The Portugal international has just enjoyed yet another impressive campaign at the Etihad Stadium, helping City pull off an historic Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble.
In those particular competitions, Silva made 37 starts and 15 substitute appearances, highlighting his regular availability and importance to Pep Guardiola.
However, it has been known for a number of transfer windows that the playmaker is ready to take on a new challenge after six years at the club.
The perception is that City will not stand in the 28-year-old’s way should they receive a proposal which suits all parties, something that will not necessarily be easy to do.
In recent weeks there have been claims about interest from Barcelona. But it seems PSG are the more likely destination for the former AS Monaco man.
Paris Saint-Germain are even reportedly prepared to offer Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti in exchange for the Manchester City midfielder.
According to Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto, Manchester City and Bernardo Silva are aware of PSG’s intentions to sign the player, but so far he is taking his time to decide, and has not yet given the green light to the transfer.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
