Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have joined the race for Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae.
The 26-year-old defender only joined Napoli ahead of this campaign, costing the club £15 million. But he is well on his way to helping Luciano Spalletti’s side win the Scudetto this term.
Kim Min-Jae has emerged as one of the most highly-rated centre-halves in Europe this season. No team has conceded fewer goals in Serie A than Napoli. So it should not be a great surprise that several teams have their eye on the “sensational” defender.
According to The Sun on Sunday (23/4; page 67), a number of Premier League sides want to land the South Korean after his superb year at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The report suggest that Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are in the running to sigh the South Korean international.
However, the Sun add that Manchester City have joined the race. Pep Guardiola is a fan of the former Fenerbahce star. And it is noted that Kim has a release clause of just £40 million.
The South Korean has shown his qualities in Italian football since joining Napoli and the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League could be a tempting proposition for him.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
Quality player.
