Manchester City and transfer chief Txiki Begiristain are eyeing a move for Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of the summer.
Kvaratskhelia only signed for Napoli last summer, but his performances have been such that a number of top European clubs are already keen on the trickster.
The 22-year-old has scored twelve goals and provided thirteen assists in 26 matches so far this season and has taken Italy by storm.
Kvaratskhelia had previously been plying his trade in the Russian Premier League and his adaptation to Serie A has been nothing short of remarkable.
A smooth dribbler, with plenty of pace and incredible balance. The forward has been called ‘unplayable‘ by members of Italy’s press for his exploits over 2022/2023. It is little wonder that Europe’s elite are queueing up to sign him.
According to Ben Jacobs in his exclusive CaughtOffside column, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Newcastle United are keen on signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.
He adds, however, the Serie A giants are unlikely to let the 22-year-old leave without a fight, and that his value has likely skyrocketed to as high as £100million or more.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
@Vichocrack51: “Please Txiki make it happen.”
@Denis_Hazard: “We pray 🙏 to get him.”
@Ramsay_omari: “Yes. This is the guy we need.
Sign him and Jude and a left back.”
@ArkaBasu16: “Is he fast enough? Very similar to Grealish.”
@MrK_MCFC: “Just a Grealish with a killer instinct. Bring Leao Home.”
@mcfcalfie: “It will be near impossible to get him out of Napoli.”
@a779457: “I don’t see any scenario where City and Napoli negotiate. Even more so if they’re adamant they won’t sell.”
