Rodri has disclosed the number of trophies that Man City is aiming to win this season, despite the challenge from other rivals, as they strive to retain their league title.

Last season was arguably the most successful in the club’s history, with a historic treble including their first UEFA Champions League title after defeating Inter Milan in Istanbul.

Man City is determined to make this season equally memorable, with Rodri highlighting their goal of securing two more trophies in addition to the ones already won earlier in the season.

The Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup victories in December 2023 have positioned them as leading contenders in the English Premier League and Emirate FA Cup, making winning four titles this season a realistic possibility.

“We already have two trophies this season and we want to add to that with another two,” Rodri told club website.

“If we can finish the season with four trophies, then that will be another special achievement. We know it is going to be a challenge and we need to keep working hard, but we are ready.”

Manchester City To Face Manchester United In The FA Cup Final

For the second consecutive time, the two Manchester clubs will face off in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Manchester City’s triumph over their rivals last season saw them matching Sir Alex Ferguson’s record, becoming the second team to achieve a treble.

Man City secured their spot in the final by beating Chelsea 1-0, while Manchester United advanced after a penalty shootout victory over Coventry City following a 3-3 draw in regulation and extra time.

A victory for Manchester United in the final could halt Man City’s quest for four trophies this season, potentially denying Rodri’s ambition of winning two more trophies even if they secure the Premier League title.
