Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the Premier League champions are keeping tabs on Napoli hotshot Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Having only arrived at Napoli last summer in a deal worth £9m, the 21-year-old has taken European football by storm.
The Georgia international has enjoyed a breakout season with the Italian side this campaign as Napoli seek a first Serie A title since the days of Diego Maradona.
Among a team packed full of attacking talent, Kvaratskheila has stood out in both the league and Champions League owing to his fearless style and attractiveness on the ball.
Nicknamed ‘Kvaradona’ by the Napoli supporters, the 21-year-old has recorded seven goals and nine assists across his 15 appearances in the league so far, including three goal involvement’s in Friday’s 5-1 hammering of Juventus that stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to nine points.
After his performances for Napoli this season, it’s no surprise to see many European clubs including Premier League heavyweights keeping an eye on Kvaratskhelia.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City are now monitoring Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, after claims Jurgen Klopp has been eyeing him for Liverpool.
A January deal would be almost impossible, but there have been suggestions that Gli Azzurri would be open to discussing a summer exit, providing that the price was right.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia value has skyrocketed in his short time in Italy so far, so much so, his agent Christian Emile, has publicly declared the player worth £87million (€100m). That is almost 10 times the amount what Napoli paid just last summer.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
