Juventus eye shock £35m deal for Manchester City defender and more transfer rumours

Juventus are weighing up a move for Manchester City’s summer signing Sergio Gomez who is reportedly not fully trusted by boss Pep Guardiola.

Gomez joined City from Anderlecht for an initial £11million in the summer, with the club electing against loaning the Spaniard after failing to sign Marc Cucurella, who moved from Brighton to Chelsea.

The left back has yet be fully trusted to start matches, according to the Athletic, prompting the club to target increased depth.

City are said to be looking at are Borussia Dortmund star Raphael Guerreiro, Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell and Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney, who is backup to Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Report from Italy say Juventus are ready to try and take advantage of that.

According to Italian outlet CMW, Sergio Gomez is a surprise target for Juventus this month as the Serie A giants look to replace Alex Sandro, who may decide not sign a new deal with the Old Lady.

As per the report, With Sandro out of contract, Juventus are looking at signing a left-back either this month – or in the summer. City would be willing to sell Gomez for a fee of £35m.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are reportedly eyeing winter swoops for two highly rated prospects: 20-year-old Argentinian midfielder Maximo Perrone and 18-year-old Genk prospect Bilal El Khannouss.

Perrone is a player that has been linked with a move to Manchester City over the last few weeks, but now it looks like the deal is close to being confirmed.

The defensive midfielder has been targeted by several big European clubs after shining in the Argentinian top flight for Velez Sarsfield. City are understood to have met his $8m (£6.6m) release clause, as previously stated by Fabrizio Romano.

According to reports coming out of Belgium, City are close to signing another midfield wonderkid, Bilal El Khannouss. The teenager is considered to be Genk’s ‘golden boy.’

The youngster has allegedly been watched by scouts of several top European clubs recently, with City and Napoli currently the frontrunners for his signature.

However, El Khannouss will command a sizeable transfer fee, as he only recently signed a contract extension with the Belgian club, keeping him there for another year and a half.
