‘Why would we ‘sacrifice’ him’, ‘makes no sense’ – Man City fans react as report claims Grealish could play key roles in Jude Bellingham move

Manchester City are likely to try and sign Jude Bellingham next summer, and according to one football agent, Jack Grealish could have key roles to play in a deal.

Bellingham’s stock has risen dramatically over the past year or so thanks to some superb performances for both Borussia Dortmund and England. Plenty of City fans would like him to join the club, and it appears the players do to.

According to agent Haydn Dodge, Haaland and Foden are both desperate for the 19-year-old midfielder to join them at the Etihad Stadium next season.

“Haaland is absolutely desperate to link back up with him again and when it comes to Foden, it’s clear to see how well he gets on with Bellingham, England fans saw that for themselves [on Tuesday] against Wales,” Dodge told CaughtOffside.

However, Dodge said that Grealish could become the victim of any deal that sees his England teammate join City.

“With the Financial Fair Play pressure on Man City, there are talks in the industry that Jack Grealish may be the player that is sacrificed if they do decide to go in for Bellingham.”

These Haydn Dodge’s comments shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
