Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Real Madrid have called off the move for Erling Haaland.
The 22-year-old striker had been on Real Madrid’s radar in the summer transfer window before joining Manchester City. But Los Blancos prioritised signing Kylian Mbappe instead, only for the French international to snub them and remain at Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid remained interested in Haaland despite his move to Manchester City. Indeed, talk of them signing the former Borussia Dortmund star has been around ever since the striker moved to England.
However, an update has emerged that seems to firmly put a nail in the coffin that Carlo Ancelotti’s side will move for the Leeds-born superstar.
According to Sport, the Norweigian international is no longer a target for Madrid with Los Blancos changing their stance on Haaland following the signing of Endrick, who will move to Spain in 2024 once the attacker turns 18-years-old.
As per the report, Madrid are keen to develop the Brazilian sensation rather than go all-out to sign Haaland, which the La Liga giants estimate could cost as much as €180m (£154m) in 2024, with the City sensation breaking numerous scoring records this campaign.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
