Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Kayky will be loaned to Brazilian outfit EC Bahia following his exit from Portuguese club Paços de Ferreira.
The 19-year-old Brazilian was signed from Fluminense ahead of the 2021-22 season for a fee of €10 million plus another €15 million in variables, and made three appearances for the first team.
The English club requested the end of Kayky’s loan to Paços Ferreira because of the low performance that the Portuguese club was giving to the striker, who so far has played only nine games this season, with only three in the starting line-up, and has not scored goals.
He has taken part in his final training session with the Portuguese club and will now join the new City Football Group side.
According to Portuguese publication A Bola, Kayky is set to join EC Bahia on loan from Man City after the approval of the membership for the sale of the Brazilian club to City Football Group.
Kayky had a brief spell in Brazilian football. Upon being revealed by the tricolor carioca in 2020, when he was Brazilian under-17 champion, he caught the attention of Manchester and the City Football Group.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
“Good. He’s too talented to be sitting on some club’s bench. Needs playing time to continue developing.”
