‘We’ll get him’, ‘Madrid and Liverpool mudded’ – Man City fans react as Journalist makes claim over Jude Bellingham transfer

Manchester City have reportedly held initial talks about signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jude Bellingham.

Pep Guardiola and officials at the Etihad Stadium are known to be keen admirers of the player – who is regarded by many across Europe to be one of the brightest talents at the very top level of the game.

That public admiration for Jude Bellingham is now seemingly turning into a professional drive to sign the player, if the latest revelations to have emerged on Tuesday night are to be believed.

According to Keegan of Daily Mail, Manchester City have held initial talks over the signing of the 19-year-old midfielder, with relations between the Blues and Dortmund said to be very strong following Erling Haaland’s move from the Westfalenstadion to the Etihad.

Man City along with a number of key rivals at home and abroad notably Liverpool and Real Madrid, are keen on taking the 19-year-old midfielder from Borussia Dortmund.

A great World Cup may price the midfielder out of a move this summer but he will not see out his contract at Dortmund says the journalist – which expires in 2025.

It will come as no surprise that the Blues are considering a deal for Bellingham, with the futures of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, pillars of the current midfield, uncertain beyond this season.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“Don’t think I’ve ever felt more calm and confident about City and transfers. If we want him, we’ll get him.”

‘€100m or less is acceptable, if they ask more than that, let him go to Madrid as Liverpool doesnt have the capacity to go beyond that as well.”

‘It was the only option for him ever IMO. The best english talent to the best english team. Plus familiar people in Haaland and Akanji.”

‘Not sure how to feel about this tbh. Think he could replace Gundogan with ease but will he be given the same freedoms he has at Dortmund? Not likely. Comes down to how they envision his usage here. Let him roam like Bernardo and it’ll be a massive success. Any other role.. shaky”
