Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola will decide his long-term future during the upcoming World Cup.
Guardiola, who has guided City to four Premier League titles, four League Cups and the FA Cup, will be out of contract in 2023 and his future at the club remains unresolved.
The Spaniard has always said that he will stay at the Etihad as long as his players continue to believe in his methods and fight for the City cause.
According to Jack Gaughan for the Daily Mail, Guardiola is “expected to” decide what his future with Man City will look like during the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
The report adds that ‘there are those around the first team who believe they are working for a manager who does not appear ready to wave goodbye’ to the club.
A further line adds that City are ‘planning ahead on the assumption’ that Guardiola will stay.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
