New footage has emerged after a clip of Portugal teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Cancelo went viral on social media.
Ronaldo is the name on everyone’s lips this week following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he said that he feels “betrayed” by Man Utd.
Since clips of the interview dropped, Ronaldo has joined up with his Portugal teammates as they gear up for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Ronaldo made the headlines after his handshake with fellow United teammate Bruno Fernandes was described as frosty, however, it was later revealed that the footage was taken out of context.
A shorter version of a clip went viral on Tuesday which showed an angry-looking Cancelo ignoring Ronaldo.

The clip of Ronaldo and Cancelo led to speculation that some players, including the Manchester City defender, had lost respect for their international captain.
New footage has emerged, however, with one tweet titled: “The context to the Ronaldo and Cancelo video, which the media will ignore.”

While Ronaldo’s attempts to calm down Cancelo appeared to be in vain, the legendary forward was only being a good captain in that moment.
Moreover, Cancelo was already worked up when Ronaldo approached him, because of his tussle with Felix. Not because of Cristiano.
