‘They can keep dreaming’, ‘he’s not going anywhere’ – Man City fans react as midfield maestro wanted by Turkish giants

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is being targeted by Turkish giants Galatasaray.

The 31-year-old, who was Pep Guardiola’s first signing at City, remains a key player in Man City and he is putting in some influential displays at the centre of the park.

He still has plenty to offer at City, having played 13 times for them in all competitions this season already. He has managed to score two goals and create an assist for the Mancunian giants so far across all fronts.

The Germany international has now entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium and his long-term future at the club is believed to be uncertain.

According to The Sun, the Turkish giants are keen to snap up the midfielder at the end of his deal, with the German international having previously make his desire to play in the country clear.

Gundogan reportedly hasn’t ruled out putting pen to paper on a new deal at City, though he is yet to agree terms with the club.
