Reports: Man City set sights on ‘world class’ £131m star who Pep allegedly adores and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly interested in bringing hot prospect Rafael Leao to the Etihad Stadium.

Leao is in the final two years of his contract with the Rossoneri and has so far failed to reach an agreement with the Italian giants over an extension. The Portuguese has been the subject of transfer speculation recently and Chelsea even saw an £70 million bid knocked back this past summer.

It is understood that Milan are wanting to agree Leao’s extension soon as they are aware that interest in the 23-year-old will only grow after the World Cup when he will be able to announce himself on the biggest stage of all.

According to Calciomercato, Leao’s father has discussed the possibility of extending his son’s contract at the San Siro, with his current deal set to expire in 2024. However, the Italian outlet claims that City and Chelsea are ‘always at the window’ for the Portuguese talent.

The 23-year-old sensation apparently has a €150 million (£131m) release clause in his current contract but the player wishes to reduce that figure as he negotiates fresh terms.

The AC Milan forward has been in excellent form for his side so far this season and has been touted as a standout prospect in Italy. His four goals and eight assists for the Serie A side in just 13 appearances have supposedly earned him the attention of City.

Elsewhere, Fichajes are claiming that the Blues will be going ‘all out’ to sign Alberto Moleiro.

They claim that Pep Guardiola has made a ‘direct request’ to the board to sanction a move for the teenager and that City sent several scouts to watch him during the last campaign. It is also thought that Barcelona are keen on bringing Moleiro to Camp Nou.

Manchester City are also reportedly among the clubs keeping tabs on Benfica sensation star António Silva.

Le10 Sport as relayed by Sport Witness claims the Portugal U21 international’s explosion at Benfica has caught the attention of Manchester City.

Another report from Italy claims Manchester City are following Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with ‘great attention’.

Understandably, after impressing for Napoli in both Serie A and the Champions League, Kvaratskhelia is attracting interest from clubs around Europe.
