Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has reportedly instructed the club to pursue a move for Bayern Munich wonderkid Jamal Musiala.
The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for the German champions this season, scoring seven times and registering eight assists in 13 appearances in all competitions.
The attacker has five goals and five assists in the Bundesliga, and he provided two assists in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the league.
Despite having four years left to run on his contract at Allianz Arena, there has recently been speculation surrounding the youngster, with Manchester United and Liverpool said to be interested in his services.
As per Italian media outlet CalcioMercato, Pep Guardiola is interested in adding the 19-year-old midfielder to the club’s ranks next year, with the City boss keen to bolster his midfield alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan.
However, an imminent departure from the German champions appears to be unlikely after the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic previously claimed that the player was “not for sale”.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
