Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson have been hailed by journalist Ben Jacobs following their 1-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League.
Although the Belgium international undoubtedly stole the show, victory may not have been achieved had it not been for Ederson’s acrobatics in the second half.
Only four minutes after the interval, the classy midfielder broke the deadlock with a thunderous, dipping free-kick which flew in off the post and past a despairing Danny Ward.
However, shortly after City took the lead, Youri Tielemens nearly matched the 31-year-old’s magic with a venomous volley, which the Brazil international outstandingly tipped on to the bar.
In a Twitter post on his official account, Jacobs singled out that Belgian’s ‘special’ moment and Ederson’s ‘quality’ save to deny Tielemans as the two standout moments.

Indeed, it was a match often bereft of real quality, and a couple of decisive minutes were dictated by the sheer star quality from the City duo.
For De Bruyne, though, this was just another example of Ederson’s outstanding ability, which he believes is on show in each match he plays.
He said: “Ederson has been great, sometimes we only talk about his distribution but he’s a great keeper and he proves it every week.
“The free-kick goes in perfectly, luckily it’s 1-0. When you shoot like that there is a lot of risk and you try to hit it clean as possible.
“You don’t have much time to see it but you hope it’s clean. Then it is nice when it goes in. You know you’ve hit it well and know when it goes over the wall it has a chance.
